Vision and Values

Vision & Values (1)
We Cann

‘We Cann…’ is a positive and proactive attitude towards challenges and opportunities. It encourages learners, staff, parents, and the wider community to believe in their abilities and to act towards their goals. By repeating ‘We Cann…’ as a mantra, everyone can reinforce their belief in themselves and their ability to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. This positive affirmation helps to build confidence, resilience, and motivation, which are essential qualities for personal and professional growth.

At Cann Bridge, being ‘aspirational’ means creating a culture of high expectations and ambitious goals for both learners and staff. It involves striving for excellence, encouraging each other to be our best selves, and working collaboratively to achieve the best possible outcomes. Aspirational also means supporting learners to reach their full potential, nurturing their talents and abilities, and preparing them for success beyond Cann Bridge. Cann Bridge recognises that every child has the potential to dream big, and it is our mission to inspire and empower them to achieve those dreams. We achieve this by providing bespoke support that maximises the potential of each learner, recognising their unique talents and abilities, and helping them exceed expectations. Our ultimate goal is to help learners achieve their goals for the future, whether that be pursuing further education, entering the workforce, or becoming active and engaged members of their communities. We believe that by fostering a culture of aspiration and providing the right support, every learner can succeed and reach their full potential.

Learner Focused

At Cann Bridge, being ‘learner-focused’ means prioritising the individual needs and abilities of each child and tailoring their education accordingly. This includes providing personalised timetables, individualised learning plans, and differentiated activities that cater to their needs and interests. Our staff also prioritise the well-being and safety of learners, making all decision-making child-centred. We strive to ensure that every learner has access to fantastic learning opportunities and life skills, and that they receive the support they need to achieve their personal best.

At Cann Bridge, being ‘collaborative’ means that the school community places great value on working together in all aspects. This includes collaborating with other schools, professionals, parents, and the wider community to provide the best possible outcomes for our learners. We believe that by sharing ideas, resources, and best practices, we can improve the education we provide. We also strive to foster healthy relationships and model good behaviour for our learners. Collaboration is key to preparing learners for life beyond school, and we make it a priority in achieving this goal. Through teamwork, communication, and community involvement, we create a successful learning environment that empowers our learners to reach their full potential.

At Cann Bridge, being ‘progressive’ means constantly improving by embracing change, adopting new ideas, and building on strengths. We prioritise the needs of our learners and staff by striving for excellence, reflecting on our practices, and keeping up with the latest developments in education. Our focus is on achieving positive outcomes and being proactive in adapting to changes in the education landscape.
