The aim of the Friends of Cann Bridge School, (Parents, Teachers and Friends Association) is to enhance and support the development of an enriching and diverse curriculum and teaching and learning resources for the learners. This is achieved through a range of fundraising initiatives.
All parent carers, families and school staff are automatically members of Friends. We are always looking for new people to become active members of the group, including organising events and taking part in the activities.
There are a number of ways of supporting the Friends:
- Join the planning committee who meet termly
- Carry out an activity or event to raise money for Friends
- Use matched funding from your place of employment
- Donate items for our raffles and sales
The main fundraising activities including running cafes at school events, raffles, special fundraising events such as the Christmas fun run. We also host some smaller fundraising activities throughout the year. Friends have been vital in helping to raise funds for many of the specialist facilities we are able to provide such as the soft play room and immersive room. Each year they commit to buying a gift from Santa for each child in the school.
