2Cann Class Teacher

Health & Wellbeing Lead

Hello, I'm Rachael, and I am the teacher in 2 Cann

I have had the privilege of working at Cann Bridge School since 2021. Throughout my time here, I've engaged with a diverse range of learners across various ages. Prior to joining Cann Bridge, I worked in mainstream schools and nurseries, supporting children from birth to the end of Key Stage 1. My passion lies in working with younger learners, as I strongly believe in the benefits of setting a strong foundation for formal learning alongside reaping the rewards of learning through play.

2 Cann is a vibrant class that promotes learning through sensory-based activities and hands-on exploration. We make use of tuff trays with clear learning intentions, encouraging children to engage in purposeful play. Our classroom offers continuous provision alongside focused sessions, ensuring that every child’s individual needs are met while fostering independence and growth.

Outside of school, I have a passion for sports, particularly rugby and running. I play for a local women's rugby team and regularly participate in half marathons to raise money for charity. In addition, I love reading, enjoy going to the theatre, and cherish spending time outdoors with my adorable sausage dog, Mary Pawpins!
