Co-opted Governor
Brief information
I am very happy to have joined the Cann Bridge Governing Body, in the summer of 2022, as a Local Authority Governor. I am currently the link Governor for safeguarding; thus, it is my role to assure a strategic overview of the policies and practices in place that support safeguarding, ensuring the school meets all compliance areas stipulated in KCSIE and any subsequent updates to it. Working closely with the designated Lead, it is my role to inform the governors of any audit data and subsequent action plans. It is also my role to have an awareness of staff and governor training.
I work for Plymouth City Council, within the Education Improvement Team, supporting schools and settings across Plymouth. My teaching experience spans, primary, secondary and special education settings. I hope to use this experience to add to the collective knowledge of the Governing Team. Away from working life, I enjoy travelling, art, music and spending time with my wife and two grown up children. I look forward to working with the Cann Bridge Governing Body and developing the best possible experience for every child at the school.
