Evisense
At Cann Bridge School we use a platform called Evisense which allows you to view your child’s assessments through photos, videos, and written observations made by their class team. This tool provides you with clear, immediate insights into your child’s progress and achievements.
How It Works:
Through Evisense, you can access a collection of evidence gathered during your child’s learning activities. This could include photos of their work, videos of presentations or practical tasks, and teachers’ notes and observations. Our goal is to make your child’s learning transparent and accessible, helping you stay closely connected to their educational experience.
Parental Code of Conduct:
We kindly ask for your cooperation in adhering to the following guidelines to ensure the safety, privacy, and respect of all pupils and staff:
- Confidentiality: Please refrain from sharing any photos, videos, or written observations accessed through Evisense on social media or other online platforms. These materials are for your personal use only, to help you understand and support your child’s learning.
- Feedback and Queries: Should you have any questions or feedback regarding your child’s assessments, please contact the class teacher directly in the first instance. They will be best positioned to address your queries. If further discussion is needed, our school’s comments, compliments and complaints policy is available on our website for your reference.
- Respect for Privacy: The Evisense platform includes content that is specific to your child. Please respect the privacy of other pupils and families by not sharing any information related to others
Any breaches of the Code of Conduct we will follow our Parent Code of Conduct which is available here: PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT
We hope you find Evisense both useful and engaging. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to improving home-school communication and fostering a collaborative approach to your child’s learning.
Evisense and Assessment Frameworks:
Evisense is linked to our assessment frameworks through B Squared and enables us to track your child’s progress in relation to the curriculum and their termly Personalised Learning Goals, which are critical milestones toward their next steps and aligned with their EHCP Outcomes.
While there are no expectations for parents to regularly engage with the app should they not wish to, updates will also be shared at Parent Carer Evenings and during your child’s EHCP Annual Review. For many of our learners, our curriculum focuses on developing knowledge and skills, some evidence may be in exercise books, work files, reading records and will therefore not be available on Evisense.
Parents can view Evisense as a private, secure, social media-style system for seeing your child’s work. You may be familiar with similar apps such as Tapestry or Evidence for Learning.
Accessing Evisense:
The app can be accessed through an internet browser or via the iOS, Android, or Amazon Fire App. The app allows us to share “Wow Moments,” and as more families join, we will expand the functionalities of the app even further. One of the great features moving forward is the ability to look back at the progress your child has made during their time at Cann Bridge.

Parents can view, like, comment, and create posts. Please note that notifications from the system will only be sent between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
If you do not currently have access to Evisense and would like access, please either let your child’s class teacher or reception know the email addresses you would like adding, with the person’s name and the relationship to your child. You will receive an email once you have been added to the system.
