We are seeking a Lead Teaching Assistant to work alongside a teacher with a part time role and to deliver the learning opportunities on the other two days of the role.
The appointed person will be responsible for leading the class team in delivering the curriculum and will have the responsibility for delivering the planning for these two days with the support and guidance of the teacher.
This position has the potential to be an excellent learning opportunity for the successful candidate allowing the practitioner to enhance their skills in SEN and in collaborative teaching. The post is initially for one year with the possibility of extension.
Knowledge of child development and children with learning difficulties and an appropriate qualification or the willingness to gain the appropriate qualification is required and applicants will need to be calm and patient with a good sense of humour and willing to undertake any training necessary.
All applicants will require an enhanced DBS clearance.
